Who is/are your favourite character/s in any tv programs?

I’m currently re-watching the food place for the x amount of times and I still think Janet is one of the best characters in the entire program.

She is just amazing in it

Violet Crawley in Downton - her one liners amuse me time and again. But then she is played by Maggie Smith who is fantastic.

Bit of a contrast but Phil Dunphy (Modern Family) and Alfie Solomons (Peaky Blinders) came straight to mind!

Buffy from ... well, Buffy. As opposed to Willow, who I despise with the intensity of a white hot sun, but is a huge fan favourite.

I never liked Faith - but then I watched the first few seasons totally out of order. I saw her steal Buffy's body before I saw any of season 3 so she was always just evil to me.

Mulder and Scully from the X Files

Yess! But then I love most of the X Files recurring cast. I love me some AD Skinner. or Krycek. (I hate Krycek epsiodes - I do not understand the black oil and bees - but I love the character. He is an old friend.) And the smoking man is wonderful.

Interesting question! Am now pondering my favourite programmes...

The Vampire Diaries - Caroline Forbes. She has a proper journey over the course of the series, from spoilt and shallow to someone with considerable courage and integrity. For very similar reasons, Cordelia and Wesley from Buffy/Angel - Wesley has one of the most beautifully written character arcs of any character on TV.

Rafael Barba on Law and Order SVU is my favourite TV character of all. Raul Esparza is such a gifted actor, and I was really sad that his time on there was relatively short (given that it's been running for twenty years).

Castiel from Supernatural - he can be frighteningly imposing in full angel mode but also adorably dorky
