We were followed by a police car today

It's finally happened, we were followed by the police. All the family were in the car as we had gone to the shop (dh only, the rest in thr car) and then were going to the park as ds has a mobility issue and needs the flat paths to exercise. Police car clocked us and followed us to the park, where he did a lap of the car park, waved to the kids and drove off. Anyone else feel as guilty as hell even though they are sticking to the rules?

They sound like they were doing a really good job and waited to get an idea of what you were found, instead of pouncing on you. I wouldn’t worry a jot about it. They have a job to do and part of that is keeping people safe from arses that are acting irresponsible, like the ones having great gear sessions in the local park near where my middle lad lives.

Yes 😂 I made dd walk a different route with me rather than go past the police car outside the park, and when I was on a 'walking interval' on my run I instinctively ran because I was going past a police car.

I think they were doing a good job too and made the kids wave at him as police are trying to protect, it was just me getting nervous. Dh put ds blue badge out just in case 😂
