What's it like to live in Lympstone?

Due to a possible work move, my DP might find himself working in Lympstone in the coming months (when some kind of normality returns) it's not a forced move but it is something he wants.

Ideally he would like myself and DP to move with him but it is a massive upheaval and to be honest, he doesn't deserve my support on this (and to be honest it might be a good way out for me to not go) but I'm being open minded and out of interest can anyone tell me what it's like to live there/surrounding area? We've got a 3 year old who is about to start school nursery and currently live in a large city in the North!

TIA

East is the best bit of Devon - easy access to lovely countryside and seaside but close enough to Exeter/M5/airport/trains so you don't feel too stuck/isolated.

Theres not much in Lympstone but its peaceful. Is his job at the Marines base. If.so do you get accommodatoon. There is more for kids at Exmouth which is very near with a beautiful beach , shops, cinema stuff for kuds. Exeter anout 30 min away is a lovely Cathedral city with a great harbour.

I lived in that area for a few years and hated Lympstone. Found it snobby and cliquey. I worked in a local pub there.

I'm from a deprived city in the Midlands though so that may be clouding my view but everyone in the village seemed so backwards with their attitudes.
