Nooo my phone has fallen in the bath! Anyone managed to get a new iPhone during lockdown?

As the title says! My phone went for a swim and although it will still switch on, the screen doesn't work and so it's useless. Has anyone managed to get a new phone during lockdown? Presumably phone shops are shut! Can they send one out to me? Any advice welcome!

Yes... have bought both a new phone which was delivered, and had my old phone fixed through insurance using a courier.

Have you tried putting it in a bowl of dry rice for 24 hours? That will remove the moisture and it may work again.

What model is it? Agree with the rice suggestion. Don’t switch it on anymore.

Try and dry it out in a bag of rice for a day or 2. If that doesnt work and you're not insured you can upgrade online. As far as I know the networks are still available on the phone to upgrade you. O2 definately are. You dont need to go to a store.

I've never bought a phone in a store so I imagine it's no different getting one now. I'm an Android user though if that makes a difference.

Yes all the usual places are delivering. I just got a reconditioned iPhone 8 through last week.

I got one direct from Apple a few weeks ago during lockdown. Came next day I think!

I haven’t but am getting emails to sell me a new iPhone. Presumably they would have withdrawn these if it was not possible.

Remember to sort out a new pin (if you are buying the phone and sim only contract.)
