Can I give more than three doses of calpol after first immunisation?

DS2 has his first immunisations Thursday at 9.30am, he's 8 weeks.

He had his three doses of Calpol throughout the day as he was grizzly and sad. I've just taken his temperature which is 37.8. His last calpol was at 7pm. Can I give him a fourth?

I'll call dr in the morning to check if he can keep having it today if needed,'but not sure what to do tonight?

Is it paracetamol or ibuprofen? I wouldn't go over the dosing per day guide myself but doctors have told me it's fine to give the other kind if you have it. So if he's had paracetamol and you have ibuprofen you could easily switch to that. It's hard when they're so little.

It's three doses in 24 hours isn't it, so every 8 hours?

Double check the bottle for correct dosing amounts but if I recall correctly you are allowed to give 4 doses in 24 hours from 8 weeks so I would give him another dose if temp is still up. Ibuprofen as I recall you can't give til they are 3 months. But again check the bottle. I hope he feels better soon.
