Help! What have I done to my iPad?

Last night I plugged my iPad in as an update was due. It worked fine at breakfast. Now all it will do is this

So I suspect I forgot to switch on the socket, the update didn't happen and now the battery is zero? But plugging it into a socket isn't helping.....is it stuck in low battery limbo?

I suspect the update has overloaded it! How old is it?

It's old. It's an Air2

Down thanks. I did a bit of googling and have tried a forced restart.....it seems to be fine now. Phew
