7 weeks pregnant spotting and cramping

Hey, sorry for the intense detail but yesterday I had a orgasm, not through penetration but since for the last 24 hours I have been spotting brown mucus, not enough to be visible in my pants but certainly when I wipe. I have been having abdominal pain aswell like period pains and weird twinges, I rang my GP and they have booked me in for a scan tomorrow at 10.30am. I am so worried and cannot concentrate on anything, I can’t eat and I sure won’t be able to sleep through worry tonight. Did anyone else have this? I have read lots of things on google and to be honest feel more scared than I was originally

I had exactly that at 11 weeks. My doctor couldn’t get me in for a scan and when I spoke to the midwife she simply told me not to worry.
I felt exactly like you, so so worried, so I booked a private scan and thank fully everything was fine. I’m now 20 weeks.

I had spotting at 8 and 12 weeks so in time with what would have been my periods, had a scan which was internal (so prepare for that) which showed everything was fine and no obvious reason for bleeding.

Also had scans at 6, 7 and 8 weeks for cramping and shoulder pain in previous pregnancy (no bleeding, suspected ectopic pregnancy) and no heartbeat was detected until the 8th week one so don’t necessarily worry if they don’t find a heartbeat tomorrow. Again no reason was found and all was fine.

I had the same at 8 weeks then had quite a big bleed, I was booked in for a scan and everything was fine, I had some old blood low in my uterus but little bean was fine he's now 3 weeks old :)

I had the same at 8 weeks. Light spotting & strong cramps. Also happened again 4 weeks later (when period should've come). Scan booked, all was fine.

Thank you so much ladies, you really helped put my mind to rest last night! Had a check up and everything is fine, baby's heart is beating away and no cause for concern. I had some really good advise for anyone reading in the same situation that bleeding is normal unless it fills a sanitary pad and you are having to change it every hour or so and if your cramps do not clear with a paracetamol then this is also a concern but other than that, spotting, bleeding and cramps are normal in the first trimester! So relieved! Thanks again
