Does anyone else's vision go a bit green after wearing sunglasses?

I wear glasses and have prescription sunglasses with brown lenses (if that's relevant?). I was wearing sunglasses a lot yesterday when we were outside. When I went back in I took them off and everything was slightly tinged green for about 10-15 minutes Confused

Does this happen to anyone else?

The colour will vary. I remember wearing skiing goggles with a pink lens and when I took them off the snow would look blue for a few seconds.

I think when I was wearing the goggles my brain would adjust so that the “pink” snow looked white again (as it knows snow is supposed to be white). Then when I took them off it was still compensating which made the snow look blue. Took a few seconds for it to realise it didn’t have to compensate for the goggles any more, and gradually the snow went white again.

For the same reason you can look at a sheet of paper by candlelight and you will perceive it as white, even though objectively the candlelight makes it look yellow - your brain compensates.

Fun!
