Does anyone have a hair system and how are you coping with not being able to have it readjusted currently?

Mines slipping so badly now, and just looks awful Sad

I’m actually getting tempted to try and cut it all out!

TessTackle · 06/05/2020 22:46

Please please don’t cut it out!!

Hair system? Readjusted? I'm intrigued. Are you just describing hair styling /cutting in an unusual way or is this something different?

Something different.
A number of companies provide services to ladies that have hair loss/thinning for whatever reason.
Some of the hair used is called a system depending where you go.

TessTackle · 06/05/2020 22:48

OP have you tried to use hairgrips?
Do you have tapes as well as connections?

AudTheDeepMinded · 06/05/2020 22:50

@TessTackle ah, that makes sense. I can definitely add nothing of value to this discussion and will leave!

TessTackle · 06/05/2020 22:53

@Aud you’re definitely allowed to ask, it’s quite a hush hush business so now you’re in the know Wink

Thickmuthafuckers · 07/05/2020 11:49

Ha ha yes it’s basically a lot of panels of hair sewn into a fake parting in rows.

@TessTackle I only have connections, it looks terrible though. How do hair grips help, what do you do with them?

Are you an LE client?
Even if you’re not, there’s a good video on the Instagram by one of the stylists about how to best secure it at the moment.

The basic gist of it is to use the hair grips to secure the system to your own hair by turning them back on themselves.

At the moment you just have to do what you can to keep it on until we open again, have you tried a scarf/headband?
I know it’s not ideal but if you cut it out & the hair is then too short to re pull through what will you do?

Feel free to PM me a photo of the front so I can make suggestions as a tech.

Thank you so much, that’s really helpful! I’m not with LE, I’m with Hair Solved, but I will look at the recommended video, thank you!

I have taken advise from their head office, and I am going to try and take it off myself with pliers Shock. If this doesn’t work I’m cutting it out and shaving off what little hair I have!

I have ordered a wig from a higher end wig company, and am just waiting for it to arrive before I execute my plan!

I'm with HairSolved- I've bought pliers and micro rings and have tightened it myself. Looks ok and feels secure enough - not ideal but will be ok until the salon opens again. The front of my system is taped so I can change the tape to help it feel secure too.

I have started trying to get mine out this morning Shock. I have managed with pliers to get a few out at the front but can’t get to the back and I have gone too far to stop now Sad. I think I’m going to have to just cut it out and give myself a skinhead with the remaining hair
