Arghhhh men! Well, my man in particular.
2 Christmases ago I was involved in a car accident, completely 3rd parties fault (they drove into my back quarter on a roundabout as I was exiting and they entered, I usually sit DC1 in that seat, luckily DC1 was at home with DH at the time) it was all settled and 3rd party insurance company paid out for damages etc.
Anyway, last year I got a phone call from my claims adviser 10 months after we'd received the cheque for our excess to let me know that 3rd parties insurance providers solicitor's had been in touch with a claim for injuries and private treatment, and would I be happy to attend court if it went that far. Of course I said yes, happy to go and talk about what happened. Bit confused as to why they were getting on touch now, after it had all been settled. Advisor said that it's a tactic that insurance companies use...
So thats what led to this evening. We sat down for dinner and I mentioned I hadn't heard anything about the claim, not even sure why I thought about it. He looked at me a bit gone out and then says, he had had an email about it in January to say its been closed as they never got back in touch... Didn't he tell me?
So for the past 6 months I've been mentally preparing to go to court and discuss the crash for DH for the past 3/4 months to sit on the knowledge that that isn't happening 🤦♀️
Please tell me this is him sleeping in the shed worthy behaviour and that your OHs can be plonkers too???
