Cv -say furloughed or not?

Hi I am helping my partner put a cv together. He is currently furloughed and thinks there is a strong possibility he will be made redundant. He has been told he is allowed to work for other employers in the meantime. He is struggling being home anyway so we thought he might as well get his cv and a letter of enquiry out to places. My question is, should he put "currently furloughed" on the cv? Or just mention it in the letter of enquiry, or does it not matter which? Any employers/ interviewers out there? Thanks

I'd just put it in the covering letter, it would look unprofessional to me to be in the actual CV. He's technically still employed, so the dates for his current employment will still read "01/01/01 (or whatever) - current'.

I wouldn’t mention it. He is still employed by the company, there is no reason to say anything else.

Ok thanks we have taken it out of the CV and pondering covering letter
