I have the frozen chicken. I have the instant pot. The recipe I've found says I need the rack - i have vague memory of a rack that came with it and have no idea where it is and need to make dinner and have massive project on and preschoolers making giant frozen craft projects around me and HELP!

Also: can I put frozen thawed chantenay carrots in with it?

And breathe. Thanking you.

No idea if you need it or not (helpful) but do you have foil! Balls of foul under the chicken to keep it off the bottom should work the same

Tin foil rolled in to balls will keep the chicken off the bottom.
I wouldnt put the carrots in with the chicken as they will be mush.

You can buy replacement trivets on amazon cheap enough

I do zero minute chicken, or frozen chicken breasts, but not a frozen whole chicken. Be careful - check it's been hot enough.

And it's a trivet that comes with the pot. Long arms to pull it out and it lifts the food an inch or two above the bottom of the pot. In this case so it's not sitting in your water.

Good luck.

I've cooked it for an hour on high, but yes, will check.

Thank you for the advice!
