Do spiders eat other spiders? (Warning: picture of small spiders)

I saw a small spider on my windowsill. Lockdown is exciting isn’t it? I realised there were 2 and I thought they might be mating. But looking again one looked like it held the head/body of the other in its legs (Exhibit A) before dropping it (Exhibit B). They both were still for a while but now the black one is moving. I didn’t realise spiders did this?

I apologise in advance for my old filthy windowsill.

We have a 7 legged spider called Tracey..
Poor thing got stuck in a fly paper last summer... .
She is currently residing in ds's bedroom in the far end of the house! Prob took her since last summer to get there!!

Tracey is the cutest and most random name ever for a spider.

DH and I were pretty chuffed to find a cellar spider had moved with our belongings. Being the huge spider haters we are, we still placed her up in a corner and left her to it. A while later there were 31 baby spiders all sitting around her, unmoving (which is how all spiders should be!!!). We left them as well. I don't think any stayed. Now they're all gone and we have huge invading house spiders so big you can actually hear them thud along the laminate flooring. Ones that make you want to burn your house down. It's the only thing I miss about the old house. There are too many spiders here so big you can see their tattoos and biker boots.

We found a spider nest in the window frame last year. Went at it with our spider catcher. It unravelled and a host of tiny spiders rolled down!! Was quite fascinating.. Put them all outsize before phobic ds saw them!!
