How would I be if I used some readybrek in my flapjacks?

I don't have quite enough porridge oats about 200g and need 300g, would using readybrek just make it too stodgy?

Dunno but I once baked bread with ready brek when I didn't have enough flour and although it tasted nice it was indeed very dense!

I found that readybrek makes them stodgy and barley flakes are too chunky, unless you can bash them a bit with a rolling pin. Muesli and granola work ok if you have any, or adjust the amount you make to just use the oats you have.

Hmm, maybe I do have some muesli.

I was going to suggest muesli. Not used it in flapjacks, but after I picked some up by mistake, I began to add some to my crumble mixture. It actually works quite nicely and when cooked, crisps up a bit rather than being the horrible tasteless stuff it usually is.

I added coconut flour to last nights crumble, the texture and flavour was miles better.

They're in the oven. I hope the muesli works out it really needed using up too.Smile
