Isn't the bed in the garage a car that's covered up? The place itself sends chills down me, it's like somewhere Jimmy Saville would have lived.

I adore it! Someone is going to buy it and turn it into a beige and light grey tasteful seaside retreat and that will be very sad.

dropping a bomb on it would def improve that decor ! tbh i'm going to be house hounting when things calm down and if i walked in the front door and saw a glimpse of this horror i'd walk back out. it needs all ripping out, esp. those hideous carpets, and the expense of redecorating it. urgh.

Ooh sorry, didn't mean to do a repeat thread! I did have a look for another but obviously didn't do it very well as I didn't find it! Feel free to remove it Mumsnet. Someone on the FB thread about this said that maybe it was Les Dawson's house as he used to live there (there's a statue of him) which seems spot on to me! I'd prefer to think that than that it looks like Jimmy Saville's house tbh...

No not Les Dawson ,he lived further inland and closer to St Annes.
