Looking for inspiration - first baby keepsakes

Hi all Flowers

Our first baby will be turning one in six weeks.

I was wondering whether anyone could please let me know of any keepsakes I could create before his birthday?

I’ve absolutely loved the last 10 months, have taken loads of pictures and we’ve done a few handprints bu that’s about it. Has anyone got any creative ideas as to anything else I could do?

I’m not the arty crafty type but lockdown is inspiring me to try something new.

Thanks!

Have you got a milestones book? DGS has one, first smile, first words etc. First arm splint as well, the lunatic.

Also when he grows out of his first shoes, have them mounted. DD's pair were the most adorable patent leather Mary Janes with tiny red flowers embroidered on them.

Photo book of first year. Gives a reason to get all the nice pics off your phone.

If you can sew, you can make lovely patch work style blankets from old clothes.

My mum has also started sewing a cross stitch motif on a large piece of cross stitch fabric for mile stones. So first sleep over at nanas for example the ones that aren't normally recorded.
