Solitaire! I am an only child and used to play this a lot alone. Quite liked the process of lying all the cards out nice and tidy. That sounds really sad doesn't it.

I used to love playing clock solitaire, although I would have no idea how to play it now. Off to Google I think.

Klondike and Spider solitaire are good.

You could try Freecell but it might be tedious with real cards. Neat thing about Freecell is 99.999% of deals can be won, so it's all skill. Whereas Klondike has a lot of luck and even with good strategy you'll probably lose at least half the games.
