Are you/your partner a Postie? I have a question!

As we all know posties are working incredibly hard at the moment - I know our household is definitely getting more post than usual as we’ve have had a few lockdown celebrations that people have sent cards and presents for, plus we’ve ordered toys and clothes for the baby to keep him going. I’d really like to show a bit of appreciation for our postman and was thinking about leaving out some sweets or something for him - is this something you’d like, or would you be put off by the idea of cross contamination? Is it a weird idea?

My husband is a postie! They are so busy- worse than Xmas! He told me about a little girl on his round who set up a noughts and crosses board for her to play with the postie- a move a day. He loved that. He wouldn't mind treats etc- he loves the general chat and feeling that he's helping tho.

DH is a postman and people on his walk have been lovely. Small tips in an envelope, Easter eggs, thank you cards, etc.

He is thrilled. He loves his job and is happy to still be at work but these little tokens make his day.

Thanks, it’s good to know people are showing their appreciation! I think I’ll get a card and some sweets when I do the shop on Monday then Smile
