Can you leave a what’s app group chat without it making a notification lizards left the chat ?

Don't think so. But you can mute it.

But even when muted, I get notifications

Well you know the red number comes up on my what’s app it just doesn't ping

It's a pain, even muting it means it still stays on your list of chats (and in a high position if it's active) so you see it every time you use WhatsApp. I wish you could secretly leave or at least hide.
I tried Archiving it but it didn't do much either.

What happens if you mute for a year and then archive?

If you archive it, it pops back into active chats as soon as someone posts on there.

Leave the group and own it?

If you really get no value from it then just walk away.

If anyone gets arsey say you’re having a break. You’re a grown up, you’re allowed to say no.

When you leave a group does the chat stay in your list but it just stops updating?
