Do I need to cover chicken leg quarters with foil when baking?!

I'm cooking a few chicken leg quarters and wondered if I need to cover with foil when baking in the oven or just part of the time?

Novice cook and Google didn't really answer my question!

Not if the heat isn't too high. I usually cook them at 180c, they should go brown and crispy but not burned.

How long do you reckon they will take?

About 25 - 40 mins depends on your oven ( fan is quicker ) and thickness of the leg

No, but put a couple of slits into them, right through, as they are buggers for not cooking through. I do them for 25-30 minutes at 200°c. Depends if you are cooking anything else in the same tray.

180 fan here for 40 mins, sprinkled with salt and black pepper, they were quite big. Lovely crispy brown skin 😋

Thank you everyone. I made slits and baked uncovered for around 50 mins. They cooked through really well and not dried out however I used the nandos marinade sauce, first time, and it all just disappeared and it was just bland?! Not sure where I went wrong 😂
