Anyone in Somerset/Dorset/Wiltshire ?

Hello

DM is in Somerset, not far from Dorset and Wiltshire borders. I am 250 miles away, all my siblings are in other countries.

Where I live (W Yorks), there are a couple (if not more) of food wholesalers are doing domestic deliveries of their food, in domestic size portions!!. Does anyone know if there is anyone doing similar in this part of the country?

Not what you asked, but we have started using www.parsleybox.com/ which depending on what you are after for your DM might help? The main selling point is meals are vacuum packed so don't need to be in the fridge or freezer.

Where is she a little bit more specifically - I own an independent farm shop in South Somerset we do deliveries and also fruit and veg boxes but we are limited a little by distance x

In Dorset here. Many farm shops are doing local deliveries, it may be worth seeing if there is one close by.

There is a food wholesaler in Dorchester called Fresh and Fruity. They do delivery of fruit and veg boxes, potatoes, all manner of fresh dairy, bread, eggs, etc. I don't know how far they would deliver, so very dependent on where in Somerset.

There is also a farm shop called Hamish Pork, which is right on the Dorset/Somerset border, near Yeovil. They do deliveries of frozen meat and probably a few other things.

I've had a delivery from Eversfield Organics in Devon and I'm much further than Castle Cary. Not cheap but the quality seems great. Delivered via DPD.

WutheringFrights · 29/04/2020 18:57

A bit too far away from us but there are a couple of great farm shops near Castle Cary, Jon Thorners and Farrington Gurney Farm Shop.
I don’t know if they are doing deliveries but it would be worth checking them out.
I know that we have got a lot of new customers since the beginning of all this and as a small independent business we are delighted with the extra customers and really so pleased that we can help people out!

I can only think of Kimbers Farm shop near there. It looks like they are doing some deliveries.
