Anyone use resistance bands for workouts with noticeable improvements?

If so, please let me know what resistance bands you use (e.g. amazon link) and any instructional videos that you find useful.

I'm looking to increase buttocks/glutes and widen my shoulder area (bulk up a bit) if possible.

Preferably with no other equipment required or very cheap additional equipment.

For me no, they didn’t work, weights are much better and get faster results. I’m sure you could do it with bands, but you’d be at it awhile.

I’ve been using them for about two weeks, combined with hand held weights. My arms do seem to have toned up but can’t swear that that’s down to the bands. Might be though as I’ve never used them before but have used weights with no noticeable improvement.

I don’t know where they’re from I’m sorry, they belong to one of my dc.

This hasn’t been a particularly helpful post has it?! Sorry :)

Difficult to say say as I use bands, dumbells and kettlebells. Prob only use bands once or twice a week but I definitely feel it in the smaller muscle groups more the next day. They're good for triceps. For glutes a bridge with a band is good, or kick backs on all fours with a band but they have so many uses you'd be better of watching videos. I do bodyfit by Amy on YouTube, she has lots of band workouts. I got mine in decathlon.

Hi I find them ok as a pp said weights are better for quicker results but if you have any injuries or are starting out they are good. They are v good for stretching yourself if you feel that's what you need. I used these exercises (link below) can't find my bands to link for you. What I would say is tighten the band if you feel it's easy it should feel like a weight pulling if you can't feel it it's too light. I shorten mine by standing on it/using it half way up. Hope that makes sense!!

I'm following with interest; I've started doing Shelley Darlington's workouts on youtube and she does a lot with bands.

I use them all the time, at home and at the gym. My favourites are from Peach Band because their bands are soft fabric and don't pinch or snap like the horrible rubber ones! UK based too. :)

Not sure if they are on amazon but the site is www.peach-band.com
