I just rang my GP surgery, expecting to be put on hold for four hours. Settled down with a cup of coffee and everything.

Well, I clearly timed the call to perfection. I actually heard the following message:

“You are currently caller 1 in the queue.”

Spoke to receptionist, booked a GP call, job done. All in three minutes.

I just did a lap of honour round the room. Feel like I should go out and buy a scratch card - it’s clearly my lucky day!

Come and share your little lockdown wins. At a time like this, little things mean a lot Grin

Managed to buy a fancy mop from lidls

Got all the ingredients for a cake

Caught a troll on Mumsnet and got their thread deleted

And it’s not even 10am, Handies!

You are winning at Lockdown Life!

Anyone else?

I've worked out how to pull off a mastermind book/lemon swap with a friend without getting caught by the police. Might sound weird but I'm abroad and the police are still looking for a murderer on the loose so being very thorough with their roadside checks Grin

Working from home has given me masses of free time (my job isn't massively taxing at the best of times, so now I don't have to spend hours looking busy in the office!), I managed to write up and submit my MSc dissertation three weeks before the deadline.

It was a bit anticlimactic because I'm alone in the house but I put on some music and had a mini dance party Grin

I managed a 35 mile bike ride yesterday with my DH. Considering I used to weigh around 19 stone (now 11) and get out of breath going upstairs, I was pretty chuffed!

Pinkarsedfly · 27/04/2020 11:04

These are all brilliant. I love the idea of your disco-for-one, amusedbush, and yours has totally intrigued me, purrs Grin

DD and I got a PB on our walk/run this morning.... After I had also done 30Day Shred DVD. And I've yet to eat a biscuit today.

I’m in awe of all these sporting victories. I seem to have fused with the soft furnishings.

Although I have been out to the greenhouse this morning and lots of things have germinated overnight.

I found the instruction manual for the cooker, removed the glass from the doors and cleaned it. And then replaced the panels, which was more challenging!

My tweezers got the perfect grip and plucked my chin hair the day it emerged. I usually have to let it grow for three days before I can get that sucker.

I've managed to get an appointment with a mobile dog groomer - our poodle/retriever cross is desperately in need. I've had to persuade a friend in another village to lend me her driveway and electrical supply and I have got to have him there at 7am....but still delighted, he's not enjoying this hot weather.

Aw, MuseumofYou, he’s gorgeous. You’ll have to post his ‘after’ pic!

I love how this situation is making us all so resourceful. We might come out of this with new-found confidence!

I’m in the hot tub drinking gin and listening peaceful to the birds. DH has finished work and taken over all childcare including putting baby to bed. I feel like I’m winning at life 😝🍸
