Can’t believe I’ve got the best tan ever in the UK in April!

I don’t normally tan well and it takes ages. Would normally burn a bit first and peel and then only have a light colour.

I’m the darkest I’ve ever been at the moment due to wearing a strappy vest and shorts on my daily 1 hour power walk. No burning just tanning. I think the moving about helps rather than laying in it. I wouldn’t have been walking so much if we weren’t in lockdown.

I can’t believe I look like this in April!

Could it be due to reduced pollution in the atmosphere? Anyone else?

I've noticed this too. I wear F30 but have developed a really nice tan. DH is glowing like he's just come back from Barbados Grin

UV peak is approx June 21 so despite the idea that high summer is August, the rays are quite strong now. And yes, less pollution will mean a bit less filtering, plus the cloudless skies most of us have had for some time.

makes no difference if you move or stand still.

If I lie down and consciously try to tan, it doesn't happen. I walk a lot and get more of a tan that way than I ever do trying to get one.

I’m wearing SPF50 most days at the moment (I burn). The weather’s due to get a bit gloomier this week, though, which pleases me.
