My Dp woke me up at 8 to say Ds 14 had done for a walk with his skateboard at 6 and not come home. He's still not home and his phone is off. We live rurally so not many places he can go. Dp has been driving around but no sign of him. I've phoned one of his friends that I have a number for but no answer. None of his friends live close by and I don't know exactly where they live. He took an overdose a few months ago but seemed to be in a better place lately. He's been having trouble sleeping and he text me at 3am so I don't think he slept last night either. I'm so worried what do I do?

plunkplunkfizz · 25/04/2020 10:31

Why do you need DH there to call the police?

MagnoliaJustice · 25/04/2020 10:32

I hope he is found quickly, what a worry for you. Thinking of you.

I hope he is safe and you definitely made the right decision to call the police.

I hope he is in touch soon op how worrying.

In going to go back out myself and see if I can find his friends house I know the street. If he's not there then I will call the police.

bulletjournalbilly · 25/04/2020 10:47

FlamingIris · 25/04/2020 10:51

Please call 999

cultkid · 25/04/2020 10:51

You ring the police and if your husband finds him great
If not you didn't waste time 😱

Lockdownb · 25/04/2020 10:51

He just walked in! He said he's been walking around and his phone died. Didn't see why I was worried. Told him he's not going out again unless his phone is fully charged.

Phew!

Ughmaybenot · 25/04/2020 10:54

Oh I’m so glad he’s back!

OhLook · 25/04/2020 11:00

Five hours is a long time to be walking around. Are you sure he's not covering for something else? I would try to get him to speak about how he's feeling.

Trichford · 25/04/2020 11:03

Thank goodness he's home! Yeah agree with other post, have a chat and make sure he's in a good place

crankysaurus · 25/04/2020 11:10

Good, hope you're all okay.

Lockdownb · 25/04/2020 11:27

Thanks everyone. I will have a chat with him

So glad hes ok

TwuckFwaps · 25/04/2020 11:58

Maybe don't mention his recent attempt if you have a chat, just mention current events are adding to anxiety and you need him to have his phone and be contactable at all times.

Also, set up Find my phone so you can locate him quicker in an emergency in future (and set the ring function so he knows you are trying to do it).

Iwalkinmyclothing · 25/04/2020 13:20

V glad he is ok.

Wolfiefan · 25/04/2020 13:21

Thank goodness for that. You must be so relieved.
