Change of career - will it be too late

I always wanted to go into higher education but unfortunately as a family we couldn't afford for me not to be working when i left school, so i never went to college etc.. though i do have NVQ's
Recently I've been looking at doing an open university course but wondered if it would really be too late for me by the time I've qualified?
Just turned 34, currently in a managers role (my first) in a European country (i have the basic skills of another language), looking at business management

No I don’t think it will be. Well done for pushing yourself and seeking new opportunities.

I think a vocational course is an excellent idea - go for it if the time is now right.

Definitely not too late but just be really sure it will add anything to your career path of choice. Plenty of people don't have the qualifications but are natural talents and have gone far!

I did a degree in my late 30's as there was no way to afford it earlier and went on to further post-graduate professional qualifications which enabled me to completely change career in my 40's. If you've got a basics of a second language it's a great start. So yes, definitely go for it would be my advice. Good luck

Definitely not too late, go for it. The good thing about OU is that you should be able to structure the degree to your needs/ interests (to an extent) and you are likely to be able to pick up certificates and diplomas as you progress which will mean you can show evidence of qualifications if you want to change job during your period of study.
