Last Tuesday my husband was in extreme agony, we thought it may be appendicitis but after a trip to urgent care they have diagnosed it as kidney stones. He was given co-codomal and antibiotics.
We returned to urgent care on Tuesday as the pain was extreme again, and he just cannot function, the co-codomal did nothing to help.
The dr's gave him a suppositories drug/pain killer and said they think the stone is in the narrowest part of the tube and it will pass soon! He is drinking lots and is still able to pass urine. However the stone has not passed, and we only have one suppository left as they only prescribed 3 due to the risk of stroke.
This is the worse timing, but it is what is. The urgent care centre have not scanned him and he has not been put forward for a scan by the dr. We have asked.
I came on to ask do you think it is worth a trip to a&e instead to try to get him scanned.
So not to drip feed, i am 35 weeks pregnant (high risk) and we have a 5 year old! So i would only be dropping him off!
