My DD really enjoyed the Twilight films, so what can we watch next?

DD aged 11 and I recently watched the Twilight films together. Not really my thing, but she enjoyed them and we’re now looking for something else to watch together. I think she enjoyed the fantasy element and the fact that there were several films so the characters developed a bit over time.

Can anyone suggest other films she might enjoy? I tried Google, but it just suggests other vampire films and I’d like broader recommendations than this!

Mortal instruments. The series is better than the film. It’s on Netflix

You hit the problem that other vampire stuff the vampires arent sanitised vamps. They are somewhst more... ummm... intense and vampire-ish

The originals on netflix is good but tv series not movie. Spin off from the vampire diaries. I haven't tried Vampire Diaries but they might work.

Again tv series but "once upon a time" has that fantasy character development aspect. Probably better for an 11 year old especially with the link to fairy tales/disney characters.

Tomorrowland

Beautiful creatures
The vampire diaries (tv show)
Buffy

I think these are okay for an 11 year old, depends a bit on your views on teenagers having sex.

Thanks, I’ll check these out. I’ve watched Divergent and Hunger Games and I think those might be good ideas. I’ll look at the tv series too as it’s nice to have something we can watch over time Smile

The Chronicles of Narnia, The 2 Percy Jackson films

Try the Vampire Diaries on Netflix; brilliant series if you like Twilight, and there's loss of them, perfect for lockdown Smile
