I’ve somehow damaged my glasses with a damp paper towel?! Can anyone help?

I did a home work out this morning whilst wearing my glasses (I can’t wear contacts at the moment due to having a sore eye). When I started to get sweaty I took them off and finished the work out (half blind!).

Afterwards I gave them a wipe over with a piece of damp kitchen towel, had a shower and when I went to put them on, it seems they’ve had some sort of bizarre reaction to the paper towel?! Very odd! The plastic frame has marks on it and so do the plastic arms.

Can anyone recommend anything to salvage them? I have spare glasses but these were expensive and I love them. Thoughts?

Oh and it was bog standard Co-Op paper towel in case anyone was wondering!

More likely to be your sweat that caused the discolouration than a paper towel. It looks like a plastic coating is coming off in some places?

Yes I am now starting to think it’s my sweat! I just didn’t think I had sweat that much before I took them off! Surely they should be a but more robust for something you wear on your face where you might sweat though?

Do you colour your hair at home? The arms of an old pair of mine started to crack and peel from the hair dye chemicals.

TBH- yours just looks like part of a marbled pattern in the plastic.

Did you have anything like sunscreen or insect repellent on? Sweat mixed with these kind of things can damage surfaces.
