Do you have nudes in the house?

I have a beautiful reproduction poster of a classic nude painting in my house. Sometimes I wonder if people are embarrassed by it when they see it - do you judge people if they have nude paintings in the house? (Not of themselves!!)

Not a nude painting but a statue of a nude couple embracing so all you can really see are their bums. The only people ever to comment were Dnephews who were about 9 & 11 when we got it - they just kept whispering 'bum' under their breath, much to DSILs annoyance lol

I'm easily embarrassed but wouldn't have a problem with tasteful nudes. The kind of thing you might see in an art gallery is fine.

I don't, but wouldn't be embarrassed. If fine art, I probably wouldn't even think on the nudeness much. If it was huge framed nude shots of you and your partner all over the house, I'd silently judge you more than actually feel embarrassed - although I'd probably try not to look tbh.

I don’t. I’d be pretty uncomfortable with the likes of reproduction Lucien Freud paintings in somebody’s house (ok in art gallery). No issues with classic Greek type nudes though.

There was an oil of me + a a baboon(I think) painted by dh at one time.And then there was a pic of me+ a boyfriend in front of a fire titled 'dopo l'amore' that someone bought, so prolly hanging about somewhere.

I have a few sculptures of nudes in various sexual poses.
I couldn't care less what anyone thinks of them or me.

To add to the lucien Freud list, egon schiele and gustaf klimt nudes give me the heebs (art historical term)

I have five nudes in my house. Never thought much of it until DS’s friend came round for supper and was scandalised! Told his parents when he got home.

I have an art college painting I did of a nude man. It can provoke odd reactions sometimes. Current DP seemed a bit at first about why I might have an unknown male nude up in my lobby.

My ex kept a nude (faceless) painting of me that a friend did. We have a child together and it’s still up in the hall, my daughter and his wife have no idea it’s me. Everytime his wife is being a bit of a cow I smile thinking about it.

Yes. Also some Japanese erotica. You have to look very closely though.

I wouldn't judge high quality nudes. A nasty close up amateur piece in the sitting room, probably

I have a set of four watercolours of a nude girl as a group, on my bedroom wall.

Not pornography, just abstract beauty in an appropriate setting.
