The whole bag is like this and I've only just discovered - as I'm getting tea ready.
It's only the skin it seems...

It’ll be fine. Just peel them.

NetballHoop · 22/04/2020 17:21

Eat. Just peel/cut out the brown bits.

IFancyANamechange · 22/04/2020 17:21

They will be fine when peeled.

Peel it and see what it's like underneath. If not manky then fine to eat.

Cuddling57 · 22/04/2020 17:22

I would cut them out and eat as long as the potatoes under it is ok.
Although I have no expertise in cooking so you may not want to take my advise!

WhyNotMe40 · 22/04/2020 17:23

Thanks! Underlying potato seems fine so I've cut the bits off and chucked in the pot.

It's quite normal.

Ginkypig · 22/04/2020 17:46

Potato are the ultimate cut off the bad bits and use anyway food!

If it's the right colour and texture get it eaten Grin

BMW6 · 22/04/2020 17:46

OP I grow spuds on my allotment and often have these type of marks on the skin. I was told it's called Scab (Bleugh) but not unhealthy to eat, just peel them and enjoy!

BMW6 · 22/04/2020 17:48

BTW never ever eat a spud that is green. Will give you bad tummy ache.
(Spud has pushed out of the soil and sunlight has reached it)

Thanks everyone. My anxiety (diagnosed actual anxiety) is quite bad at the moment so I'm very hyper aware of things that wouldn't normally bother me.
So thanks Flowers
