I'm so pissed off with my neighbours and I need to vent.
She moved her daughter in weeks after lockdown because lots of people in the town were telling them off for letting her visit every day. The daughter smokes weed outside my window and invites her friends round lots who also smoke weed and play music with lots of swearing. I can cope with that, bit annoying to have to close my windows for an hour every time but whatever.
They had a bonfire the other day which annoyed me a bit more because of close it was to the hedge separating our garden but whatever there's no law against it and if it sets the hedge on fire they're the ones in trouble.
The issue started when the next morning it was still smoking and I could hear crackling like it was still going, I tried messaging and knocking on the door but nothing was done so called the fire dept to try and get advice on whether it's okay to leave it or if I should put it out myself (I didn't want to go in without someone's permission as they're not the most pleasant people and are currently in a war with another neighbour over nothing). The fire dept said they'd rather send someone out so did. I then got loads of shit for calling them from her and she's now trying to tell me to do things which aren't actually my responsibility as they're both on her property.
Now they're sat right outside my window (we're in flats) with a bbq going. I've closed my windows but smoke has already got in and I think it still is as my baby started coughing and going. I know the location of the bbq is on purpose as every other time they've had one it's been out the back where it doesn't affect anyone else and they've tidied up the front garden which was covered in toys and clothes and rubbish just to have it there. I'm so fucking pissed off. It's 23.5• in my flat with a fan going and the windows open, it's now creeping back up to 24.
I'm just so pissed off and whilst I don't regret calling the fire dept because it stopped a potential huge fire that nobody would have been able to catch in time I do regret being the one to have done it and wish it had been another neighbour who wouldn't have been affected.
