How best to cope with a neurotic, easily irritable DP?

He gets easily irritated when he’s tired so it’s fairly frequently. He’ll treat me like a princess (not just in words but also in actions 100%) and do everything for me above and beyond expectations but the minute I do something minor that looks like a major fault to him, he will raise his voice at me. That naturally makes me go into my shell a bit and sulk. Within minutes, he’ll apologise profusely and admit he was in the wrong and immediately regretted saying it, that he was feeling irritable because he was tired. Yet the cycle will repeat hours or days later. Every time he always states he knows he was the one 100% in the wrong.

I’m naturally very sensitive and get hurt by being shouted at. Any advice?

Tell him to grow the fuck up?

Honestly, do you want to spend the rest of your life in this relentless cycle? What does it matter if he treats you like a 'princess' if he's an abusive twat as well?

Leave him and find someone who isn’t emotionally abusive?
