What chairs can I buy for the conservatory that aren’t cane or rattan?

Hi, we are looking for new furniture for the conservatory as the sofa is past its best.

We are looking for two comfortable (but not heavy) chairs rather than a sofa next time, so we can move them around, and a table for in between the chairs.

We are not keen on cane or rattan, and would like machine washable covers ideally.

Some suggestions and photos if you have anything resembling the above would be appreciated, thank you 💐💐

I got this cheap sofa from Jtf, I’m sure they did matching chairs. It’s got outdoor like fabric that can be sponged down, DH did have to reinforce the frame though after my large BiL sat on it and cracked the bottom rail !
My other small sofa is a tub one, I have to cover it because it faded si much. I would have bought tub chairs if I hadn’t seen the big sofa.

We had the ikea chairs at first but they take up lots of room.

You can use any furniture you like but be aware it will fade badly and in patches due to the light.

AppleFruitloaf66 · 19/04/2020 15:22

I know, that’s just it @NameChangerTheFirst
Our sofa has become discoloured over time, so we have put a throw over it.

It’s ‘gone’ in the middle, so when we sit down, we find it hard getting back up again.

I quite like those Ikea ones, and the conservatory is big, and will be bigger WHEN WE GET RID OF THE TV and the cabinet it is on (glares at dh). ( I really didn’t want a tv in there, but, anyhooo).

So, it would be two chairs, two footstools, a table in the middle.
Oh and a couple of pouffes for friends to sit on.

Eventually....

Those Kangaroo ones look comfy @Ricekrispie22 are they as comfortable as they look?

The IKEA chairs have lasted well here, the covers are now quite faded and the grain on the wood has raised a bit in the changing temperature but its almost 10 years since we bought them. The lack side tables however did not work, the foil surface started lifting within a couple of months.

I've got white metal ones with fabric cushions. Had them for years.

Tub chairs were another option, but dh is tall so needs a high back.
It’s a shame really as I like tub chairs (unless I saw a few inches from his legs) 😀.
Sorry I forgot to mention that.
Thanks all for your input 💐

We have two of these, with footstool. Maybe an option?

Whoops - picture didn't attach

Ours are fabric not leather. My husband also wanted something with a high back.

Have a look on MADE, they’ve got lots to chose from. We’ve recently bought a chaise sofa and cuddle chair for our small family room. They’re great.

AppleFruitloaf66 · 26/04/2020 12:57

@Spaghettio, that chair looks good, thanks. I’m looking for fabric too, not leather.
@Oakley628 I will look on MADE, thanks.
