@Overseasmom100 only one way to find out 🙊. I had to lower the oven temperature half way through as they were cooking a lot quicker than usual not sure if that was related to different flour though

Yes you can use it, though the texture might be a little different to normal, the taste will be the same.

TheQueef · 19/04/2020 10:26

I've done it by accident.
They came out ok, but crispy li!e shop bought.
I felt very wrong though.

They will come out like solid little cakes. Don't do it!

LBOCS2 · 19/04/2020 10:39

I've done it before by mistake in a toad in the hole and it was absolutely fine.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 19/04/2020 10:39

I had to do this yesterday. They were not to my usual standard of height but nobody complained. I think they rose too much and then sunk.

TheGinSoakedBoy · 19/04/2020 10:40

I did it last week. They were rock hard Sad we chucked them.

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 19/04/2020 10:41

Flat as a Yorkshireman's cap.

I tried this once, they were as flat as a pancake!

Cheesecakejar · 19/04/2020 10:45

Funny some people saying they were fine, I once used it by accident they were like rock hard cupcakes 🤣 I would like to see anyones succes with SR flour!

Cheesecakejar · 19/04/2020 10:45

Or success...

TheCountessofFitzdotterel · 19/04/2020 10:48

Mine weren't hard. And the kids would rather have flat Yorkshire puddings than no Yorkshire puddings. They all disappeared fast enough Grin

Livebythecoast · 19/04/2020 11:10

I used it once by accident. Yorkshires came out like beachballs initially then quickly deflated 🙈 - still edible though 😊

Overseasmom100 · 19/04/2020 13:15

Better than nothing but obvs not as good as with plain flour. Will taste ok actually with gravy on. No one will noticed just think they are smaller thsn usual
