I've just had a call from a dear friend to let me know how her husband has been physically and emotionally abusing her for years. I had no idea, thought they were the perfect couple.
She contacted Women's Aid when he went out and forgot to take her phone with him. Apparently every time we have spoken he has been standing by her to monitor her calls.
She is now safe and away from him.
