First of all, is this dress supposed to be only worn at home? I'm visually impaired so I don't always know what other people are wearing…

The other thing is, I see I am masks and lip masks… Is this just like a lip balm? And what do you do with the eye mask? I've only recently started getting into make up and things… So still learning.

The other question, when you have a dress that's very low cut, or open up the back, what do you do? Do you wear another little shirt underneath of it?

The dress that I mentioned that I don't know if you're supposed to wear it outside or only at home is in the link. I bought another T-shirt dress before all of this started, but don't really know what to do with it…

Sorry, and one more thing… What's that make up called that you put on that makes your face shine? I have a liquid type foundation, then I have the little box with the blush and highlighter, and then there's something else but I don't remember the name of it…

To me that dress looks more like a nightdress. I personally wouldn’t wear it out side. It’s totally shapeless and won’t do anyone any favours. It’s more for lounging around in.

The make up product you’re talking about is highlighter.

The dress is cute. I would wear that as casual daywear with white trainers or flip flops.

Low cut/open back I have little vests from Warehouse basics, same from Next about £6.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 18/04/2020 14:00

I agree it looks more like a nightie, though described as a t shirt dress. I think it partly depends on your age. I wouldn't wear something as short as that, or as 'young', but I'm an old and chunky trout.

Crunchymum · 18/04/2020 14:02

Not sure about the makeup questions but I'd probably wear that dress over leggings.

I'm old, fat and unstylish though Grin

Mysocalledlifexx · 18/04/2020 15:29

Id wear that dress with leggings with a long line cardign.
But if not then high waisted jeens with a belt around the dress.

I let everyone see my beautiful middle aged body. Why make more laundry for yourself?

georgie279 · 18/04/2020 16:17

Depends on your age, I'm a 'young' 34 so I would probably wear that in the summer with converse high tops and a casual fitted denim jacket?

The makeup product you're thinking of is highlighter, there are various types liquid/powder/jelly or stick... maybe it's primer you're thinking of as you've mentioned you have highlighter??

Low necklines or back I probably wouldn't wear but if I were and it was a casual day, maybe a tee, if it was for a night out, nothing.

The pink dress is cool I love it! It's a day dress is wear shopping/to the park so think flats or white trainers. Or you could wear it going to the beach over swimwear or to the park for a picnic (obviously once we're allowed to be picnicking again!)

You could wear a top under but for low back stuff if wear a bra that just sticks to the front and low fronts, you can get bras which are lower so it's hidden.

Lip and eye masks vary, some you apply like a balm and rub it. Some you need to wash off or some are literally like a thick jelly piece that you wear for 10 minutes remove and bin and then massage in any excess serum.

Hope this helps!

Re dress and low cut clothes options: this really depends on your age and/or body confidence and personal style. I think anyone under 30 could easily wear the t-shirt dress on a sunny day. I'm in my late 40s and would happily wear it going to beach/pool on holidays (😢 wishful thinking!). I would also wear this dress as a tunic style long top over leggings anytime.
I personally wouldn't feel comfortable wearing a top that was so low cut that my bra shows so I would wear a cami top underneath. Though again under 30s probably wouldn't bat an eyelid showing a glimpse of some pretty underwear.
Lots a makeup products now come with added glow. Many foundations or makeup primers will have a glow/illuminating version which I personally think looks more forgiving than the powder highlighter version on older skin.

OK, thank you everybody. I am mid 30s but I still look quite young and I’m very petite. So if people say that dress it’s OK for outside, I might try to find a jacket that matches. I have a white denim jacket, and I think I have another jacket but it’s more like corduroy and I think it’s a cream color… It goes to my waist. Would that look OK with it do you think? I don’t have a blue denim jacket… And if anybody is bored and wants to help me look for some nice trainers, I’d highly appreciate it. The converse trainers are the ones that don’t have laces Right? Those are actually easier for me… Slip bonds are easier and I don’t have to worry.

I think a white denim jacket will look nice over spring and summer months.

I like Superga. They do a nice trainer/pumps in loads of colours in Canvas or leather. Some are laces or they do Velcro if that's easier.
