Please tell me I’ve not poisoned us!

I made a stew/casserole.
I made dumplings to go in it.
I didn’t check the vegetable suet first. It tasted a bit funny and DH rejected it! I ate all of it.
I’ve just gone back and checked and the suet was off.
It’s only a tiny bit. About 10 grams each.

Will we be ill?
Please say we won’t!

What do you mean it was off? ( sorry I’m so unhelpful I’ve never used vegetable suet and don’t even know what it’s made of)

You won’t be Ill. Grin

I’m sure you’ll be fine.

FlamingoAndJohn · 16/04/2020 20:33

It smelt off. I didn’t really notice it in the bit I used but I just went back and checked the packet. It smelled rancid.

How long ago did you eat it and how strong is your stomach?

FlamingoAndJohn · 16/04/2020 21:31

I teach small children, my stomach is like that if an ox.
I ate at about 7.30.
No ill effects yet!
The utter shut of it will be that if I’m ill then I can’t go to work for the only time in two weeks tomorrow!!

OP if nobody's dead/camped out in the loo by now, I reckon you're all OK.

FlamingoAndJohn · 16/04/2020 22:27

It’s only me and DH. No children involved thankfully.
No one on the loo!
