Any idea where I can bulk buy quorn?

We are in the vulnerable group due to dc. LP so can’t go off to shops. Have been relying on deliveries but it’s becoming increasingly hard to get any quorn! Mainly the quorn mince and sometimes the quorn pieces. I hate the Tesco equivalent. Is there anywhere I can buy quite a few bags so I can put them in the freezer?? None of the food shop deliveries as I can now only get Asda deliveries. Yes there is the Morrison’s box but I don’t want to spend £35 just to get a box with a pack in.... especially when I don’t need the rest of the box....

What about Iceland?

jojobar · 16/04/2020 16:40

OP, I have 2 bags of Quorn mince I'd be happy to give you if you were local to me (South London). Unlikely I know!

Alternatively, I second the Iceland suggestion.

Tiredoutteacher2020 · 16/04/2020 16:42

It's been more difficult to get a hold of for months. Nothing to do with covid.

Ohffs66 · 16/04/2020 16:45

Have you tried for both the "fresh" and the freezer version? I've struggled to get the freezer one in a bag for a while but no probs with the fresh one that you get in the refrigerated aisle (both Tesco and Sainsbury have had it recently round here), and it can be frozen.

MrNobody · 16/04/2020 16:48

I've not been able to get the quorn meatballs for months but they sent this message when I asked why there was only a small choice of quorn in my local sainsburys :
The production challenges we were already facing have intensified due to COVID-19 and so we expect many of you will be finding it even harder to find our products on supermarket shelves. Our objective is to get our products back on the shelves as soon as we can and we are working really hard to increase our production capacity whilst also doing everything possible to safeguard the health and safety of our employees. We understand it’s frustrating to not be able to find what you’re looking for and so thank you for bearing with us as we work to get our products back into stock as soon as

Ginisatonic · 16/04/2020 16:48

Don’t buy the Morrison’s box just for the Quorn. We got one and it did t have any in it. Just the meatless farm mince which I hated. We got some last week from Asda. Mince and pieces.

Soontobe60 · 16/04/2020 16:50

Lidl often have it in, I got some last week.

Wonderingwhyme · 16/04/2020 17:28

@jojobar bless you that’s so kind but no not local, thank you though.

Iceland don’t deliver in my area and Aldi/Lidl don’t deliver either.

Thanks for the heads up about Morrison’s!

jojobar · 16/04/2020 17:33

Ah you would have been welcome, and it's a shame about Iceland as our local ones always have Quorn even when I've not been able to get it in the bigger supermarkets. Fingers crossed you manage to track some down.

VerbenaGirl · 16/04/2020 17:38

This might be worth a try - if you are in one of their delivery zones: www.brakesfoodshop.co.uk/ (they are adding new postcodes when they can).

cultkid · 16/04/2020 17:42

Ocado vegan mince is very good xx

Wonderingwhyme · 16/04/2020 18:52

Ocado won’t even let me log on and brakes don’t deliver to my area, gutted! Thanks both for the suggestions though.

Where are you? I will orderit for you if you are local
I am east Kent margate

Elouera · 16/04/2020 19:56

Costco have a delivery option, but depends where you live. Not sure if they do quorn though?

cultkid · 16/04/2020 19:56

Holland and Barrett!!

EL8888 · 16/04/2020 19:57

Would love to know. We aren’t finding that easy to get hold of

liaun · 16/04/2020 20:05

www.sumawholesale.com/frozen?manufacturer=797

Google quorn wholesale, different places will come up if you have room for 6 or 12 packets

Wonderingwhyme · 17/04/2020 07:55

I can’t see any quorn on Holland and Barrett website? Suma place looks fab but they aren’t taking on any new customers as I contacted them.

Brakes Food service maybe, they are doing direct sales to the public now and it's all case quantities.

FakeCutlassesAreAGatewayWeapon · 17/04/2020 08:21

I've been ordering from prime now. They deliver Morrison's stuff. It comes from two warehouses so I tend to stick quorn in my baskets along with a selection of fresh things then try and check out until a slot shows up. They open up through the day, usually on the hour or half hour.

Wonderingwhyme · 17/04/2020 09:31

Thanks I’ve emailed brakes to see if I can order and if they come to my area. I tried amazon but the only thing that comes up is 10 x 1kg of £121?? I can’t even visually see how much that is? I don’t have a bag here to compare so would that be 20 bags based on the 500g bags ... that’s double the cost of buying it in the shops isn’t it??

OP posts:
Wonderingwhyme · 18/04/2020 09:49

Thanks @cultkid but they aren’t delivering to home addresses otherwise would’ve been ideal!

Holland aand barret don't sell quorn but they do sell soya chunks and soya mince dried in oackets, you have to cook it in a sauce or water to make it fluff but I place an order 2/3+ weeks ago from them for quorn and almond flour and I'm still waiting on delivery so while it's a good choice it depends on how long you can wait
