Can I do this to change my paint colour?

I want to paint my clothes poles. The only paint colour I could get is white, but think it will be a bit stark. I would rather a greeny colour so the poles camouflage a bit more. With so many shops closed, it was a case of beggars cant be choosers.

Question is, if I add green emulsion paint to my white metal surface paint, will it work to change the colour? Or will the two different kinds of paint not blend properly?

Not if you're mixing it with oil based, i don't think.

@ItsAlrightItsASecret Yeah, I suspected it may not work. Ah well, white poles will be better than rusty old dirty ones!
