You could've sent them an Easter Egg, but it's a bit late for that.

Flowers, nice smellies, some piccies of family, CD, DVD, write a letter etc

Is there a tree outside their window. If so ask the management if you can attach a bird nesting box.

Stick on window bird feeder.
Magazines, books, liquorice.

Is the home accepting deliveries?

DH sent his DGM some Manuka honey. She loves anything sweet and it gives her an excuse to eat it as it's "medicinal".

OP can you do a phone call instead? It's just I'm not sure people should be sending stuff into care homes at the mo

I wouldn’t send anything. I know it’s hard, but the care home will be trying desperately to minimise the risk of anything contaminated entering the building.

Audiobooks

Definitely check first whether the care home are accepting deliveries, because some aren't. Puzzle books from Amazon, fruit basket from M&S, digital photo frame

I use a website called notanotherbunchofflowers.com which has unique gifts some of which are ideal for care homes/hospitals.

Lots of apps can turn your photographs into postcards (search photo postcard app). It's a really nice way to keep in touch
