...something to cheer them up. Any ideas?

OP posts:
FredaFrogspawn · 13/04/2020 23:41

How much cognitive and physical capacity do they have?

Wheresthebiffer2 · 13/04/2020 23:43

You could've sent them an Easter Egg, but it's a bit late for that.

TARSCOUT · 13/04/2020 23:45

Flowers, nice smellies, some piccies of family, CD, DVD, write a letter etc

Needmoresleep · 13/04/2020 23:47

Is there a tree outside their window. If so ask the management if you can attach a bird nesting box.

chocolatespiders · 13/04/2020 23:50

Stick on window bird feeder.
Magazines, books, liquorice.

BringMeSunshineInMyLife · 13/04/2020 23:57

Is the home accepting deliveries?

MinnieMountain · 14/04/2020 08:05

DH sent his DGM some Manuka honey. She loves anything sweet and it gives her an excuse to eat it as it's "medicinal".

stayathomer · 14/04/2020 08:09

OP can you do a phone call instead? It's just I'm not sure people should be sending stuff into care homes at the mo

Sammysquiz · 14/04/2020 08:09

I wouldn’t send anything. I know it’s hard, but the care home will be trying desperately to minimise the risk of anything contaminated entering the building.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 14/04/2020 09:16

Audiobooks

chocolateisavegetable · 14/04/2020 10:53

Definitely check first whether the care home are accepting deliveries, because some aren't. Puzzle books from Amazon, fruit basket from M&S, digital photo frame

NotEnoughTime · 15/04/2020 14:39

I use a website called notanotherbunchofflowers.com which has unique gifts some of which are ideal for care homes/hospitals.

Rosebud21 · 15/04/2020 14:52

Lots of apps can turn your photographs into postcards (search photo postcard app). It's a really nice way to keep in touch
