Am I being silly?

I managed to get a slot for click and collect in our local Waitrose. I need to do a bit of a large shopping this time hence the requirement for click and collect. Last time I got a slot via Sainsbury’s was fine as the delivery van was parked in the supermarket car park. Crates delivered, quick transfer to the car and we were out of there in about 5 mins.
This time however I understand that I will have to go inside the supermarket and I would assume talk to someone and get my trolley. Not really comfortable with this. Should I just cancel the click and collect and wait a few days? I’m extending anxious since this scenario started..

I'm sorry you're struggling. I think mental health has taken a huge backseat during all this with no allowances made for people who aren't in the vulnerable category.

It's like everyone has forgotten that anxiety and depression etc. Are real things.

I do think though that if you possibly can, remind yourself that there are precautions you can take as others have said. In and out and get your partner to run you a nice bath for when you get home. Clothes straight off at the door and jump straight in

Sorry - I mean aren't in the vulnerable category as in, people with invisible difficulties. I have felt from the beginning of this (when slots were still available and I hadn't yet totally run out of money!) that I couldn't order an online delivery because I'd be judged for taking the slot away from someone who needed it.

I have diagnosed anxiety and PTSD which makes it very difficult for me to visit supermarkets at the best of times!
