Would this be weird? (House buying related)

We are looking to relocate. Our house is not currently on the market - it would have been but the lockdown happened. Apart from selling our house (which is hopefully in an area that sells quickly, excellent school catchment, commuter town etc), we’re ready to go. Won’t need a mortgage, as selling the house and savings will cover the new one. No new jobs needed, children want to come with us, and aren’t school age.

Anyway we’ve found a house we really really like the look of. It’s in the town and area we want to move to, price is great. It’s been on the market since August, I’m not sure why and I don’t know if it’s been reduced in that time. An identical house sold for the same price in 2018, so I don’t think it’s overpriced or anything.

There are only 11 photos, and I’d really like to see some more. Maybe a couple more of the garden and kitchen, one of the en suite and one of the utility room (they’re not pictured). I was wondering if it would be weird or cheeky to write to the owners and ask if they would email me some. From what I can see, they’re older people (photos of children, but no family stuff, lots and lots of ornaments) and very religious. I thought I’d tell them the position we’re in, and see if they’d be prepared to wait.

Even writing this, I realise I sound weird

The extra pictures wouldn’t change anything, I’d just like to be able to work out if there’s room for our massive fridge, and tumble drier. Obviously if we weren’t in lockdown, I could just look round.

No, I don't think it is wierd. I am seriously looking at houses at the moment and have asked for photos of the utility room to see if there was room for a washer and a dryer.

I'm trying to work out if it is wierd that I am going to put an offer into a house I have never stepped foot into.

@Amram111 I’m so relieved to know it’s not just me! I feel the same - I’ve even mentally positioned my furniture! I’d happily put an offer in on this house too. I think you just know. It’s the first house all four of us have liked in two years of looking.

Def ask but I’d do so through the agent. Writing directly could unnerve some people.

Thanks @UhKevin. I hadn’t even thought of that. I don’t know if they’re even open, but I’ll try!
