WWYD if you woke up tomorrow and had no mobile phone, no TV, no radio, xbox etc - how would you entertain yourself and your children?

My kids are teens now, so they'd stay in bed festering whilst I sit...

just sit

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 11/04/2020 19:27

Roll myself downhill in a barrel studded with nails and pretend I'm on AIBU.

fartyface · 11/04/2020 19:28

We didn't use any technology all day.

Playing for them this morning, reading for me. Household jobs / DIY for me in afternoon and playing outside for them.

We used the oven at lunch if we are allowed elec, had bbq for supper.

BlackeyedSusan · 11/04/2020 19:32

Crochet and clean.
Ds play Mobil and reading
DD reading drawing painting

AfterSchoolWorry · 11/04/2020 19:34

I'd go asleep. I need a phone, laptop and tv preferably at all times. I like at least two streams of data incoming at all times.

I don't do social media. I'm usually researching science, politics or academic information.

Play piano. Sit in the garden and read. Do some puzzles (logic puzzles like hanjie - I normally use apps but I like the magazines with them in too). Draw. Play board games if the toddler was sleeping. Make some more activities for the toddler to do (I’ve only done the ones that involved printing stuff so far so I’d have to get the cardboard and paint out). Go on the exercise bike (assuming that doesn’t count as tech - I could unplug the screen :o)

meonekton · 11/04/2020 19:44

Read the book. Paint, draw. Sleep.

Does a vibey count as technology Wink?

RedLemon · 11/04/2020 19:52

Bake, knit, re-live my childhood by reading Roald Dahl books to the DC with assorted slapstick voices, feel my arse pocket incessantly and curse when I realise yet again I have no phone in there.

maa1992 · 11/04/2020 19:56

I have a 6 month old so lots of singing and being silly lol. If I didn't have a little one I'd have a bath and read a few books, haven't done that in a long time

AdoptedBumpkin · 11/04/2020 19:58

Crafts, board games, walk (keeping distance of course), long meals to kill time.

Milomonster · 11/04/2020 20:21

Cycle, read, clean, walk.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 11/04/2020 20:36

Read, knit, crochet, sew, do puzzles.
