Just wondering whether any of you agree with this or believe in it or have experience of it?

Sometimes I find it comforting but then wonder if it’s really just a crutch.

I don’t agree with it at all and find it hugely irritating. Sorry.

tectonicplates · 11/04/2020 12:19

I don't understand what it means.

AnneLovesGilbert · 11/04/2020 12:20

It’s a variation of what will be will be.

Wewearpinkonwednesdays · 11/04/2020 12:20

I hate that saying.

Grabbner · 11/04/2020 12:26

I’d like to believe it but I don’t, I don’t believe in fate or karma or god either.

Chickenpie9 · 11/04/2020 12:27

It’s a stupid saying I hate it

iklboo · 11/04/2020 12:28

It's trite, sorry.

No I believe you make your own 'fate' in the same way you make your own 'luck'. Though there are times when things just line up fortuitously (right decision at the right time with the right opportunity).
But I do like the saying 'it is what it is'. But that's more along the lines of accepting what you can't change.
