I'm happy and sad all at the same time

DS is almost 5 months and has napped on me every day since he was born. I've achieved nothing most of the time but I really loved his little sleepy cuddles. Over the last few days he hasn't settled for naps on me at all. He's ended up in his pram. At first I was delighted at my new found freedom but now I really miss it. What if he never naps on me again? I'm so fickle, he's doing what I thought I wanted him to do and it turns out I didn't really want it! He's growing up so fast!

this is so cute, :-)

As the owner of a 5 and 6 yr old, all I can say is don't worry this is by no means the end of cuddles and sleeps together.

DS is nearly 8 months and hadn't napped on me for ages until today. And then I remembered how hot you get when you have a sleeping baby on top of you and I was glad he's pretty much stopped. It was nice for a one off though; I'm sure there will be plenty more in your future.

My 13 yr old napped on me last week Grin. It was lovely but I'm also glad it's a v rare thing now
But I do so fondly remember baby naps and snuggles

Ha, this is a bit like you always want your first to reach the milestones early - and then when they do, you realise a little bit of babyhood has disappeared... 😥

Mine are 9 and 13 and still pile into my bed last thing and first thing. Don't worry, OP - years of snuggles ahead of you Grin

I hope so. He's just starting to find his independence a bit. Which I know is a good thing. I just can't believe how much he's changed already.
