My 3-year-old usually goes to nursery two days a week. He’s the type of kid who people ask me if I’ve ever had tested for ADHD anyway
(although he’s too young and I’m not worried).
During lockdown he is driving me BARMY. He throws stuff over the fence into the street constantly for no reason. When he doesn’t get his way, he breaks stuff on the floor during his enormous tantrums. Yesterday I gave him a yellow bowl and he threw it, and its contents, on the floor because he wanted a red bowl (not that he told me he wanted a red bowl!). He doesn’t listen ever - it’s like he’s incapable.
He’s always like this - it isn’t just lockdown - but spending 24/7 with him is doing my head in. DH isn’t used to spending this much time with him and he’s getting increasingly angry with him.
It’s taking all my strength to grin and bear it and come up with more activities to do ALL DAY rather than leave the tv on so I get some peace.
Anyone else feeling frustrated by their young, very destructive, tantrum-prone children?!?!
