My son is struggling to get into his Instagram account.
He can't log in with user name/password. When he tries to do a reset using his email, no email arrives, including in his spam, and it does not recognise his phone number (although he received his original login messages to that phone number and has them on his phone still). He does not have Facebook.
I'm wondering if he has been hacked, but you cant report it without being logged in.
I tried to report his account from my account thinking that I could 'speak' to someone and have now inadvertently report it as spam 
He can't even close down the account.
And of course if he opens a new account, he's lost his name - which was quite a cool one.
Is there a solution?
