Lucy's Law - ban on puppy farming

Have seen this comes in today, how will it affect things in reality do you think? How does it affect people who, for example, want to just breed one litter but aren't licensed. Need to add here that I do have a dog, she's very old and I don't breed puppies, never have and don't ever intend to, just genuinely curious! Where I live you'll get a fair few people breeding the odd gundog litter etc, I wouldn't class these as puppy farms but imagine they'd be affected?

Overall a good thing as long as it covers and stops people bringing in puppies from other countries, including Eire.

im praying that this law will go far enough to close down all puppy farms as they are appalling places, but fear that if it does they will dump all the breeding dogs onto rescues and they have a hard enough job to do as it is without being overwhelmed
