You think you’re a hip and groovy parent and your young about to be a teenager tells you they’re ‘into Furry’ now.

Quick google, harmless enough looking conventions, under Cosplay general theme, but then it also has an attraction for young children and some of the provocative poses (of the female costumes) are now making me wonder exactly what it’s about before I consider buying her an ‘I’m into Furries’ tshirt that she wants

Anyone (who’s not SolidGoldBrass ) enlighten me more? Especially if their own teens are into it. How new is this Furry stuff? Never heard of it before. Assume it’s a TikTok craze.

sorry im so late! im a furry :) i do like dressing up as my fursona but its not actually sexual. only a few do the sexual things but hardly any do. dont listen to the uneducated people on here its fine honestly. being a furry is a type of self expression. there are not many zoophiles or pedos at all please dont listen to that stuff, maybe go on r/furry on reddit? sorry im so late. hope your going to let your daughter into the wonderful world of furries! have a nice day :)

@whatdayisitandotherquestions really not many at all. its honestly super rare to find them. ive been in the fandom for years and ive got so many friends in the fandom. none of them are dodgy. i am very sure that around 98 per cent are good. most furries are minors as well. i want to assure you that being a furry is really safe and well you always get bad people in every community but for furries people like making it sound more dangerous just because we dress up. it isnt bad there is just a lot of bad rumours and its not dangerous dont worry about it. for me the worst thing about the community is me getting bullied because of the rumours! remember there is no communities that dont have at least one bad person in. the furry community hate these people more than anything and we are trying to find away from banning these people from conventions. if you ever want to ask questions or anything about the community , feel free to ask me!
